EEE Johanna Manders Makerspace

The Johanna Manders Makerspace is an educational space established as part of Dr. İlke Ercan's Education Fellowship awarded by the Teaching Academy in 2023. The space is dedicated to students for developing projects that combine various aspects of EE courses.

The makerspace is named after Dr. Johanna Manders, the first woman to earn a BSc degree in Electrical Engineering at TU Delft in 1916. The naming of the makerspace is done by student votes and marks the inaugural honor for a woman within the EEMCS (building 36). You can read more about the story in the articles below:
