Yao Liu was born in China, in 1987. He received the MSc and BSc degrees in Electrical Engineering from Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Wuhan, China, in 2008 and 2011, respectively.

He is currently working towards the Ph.D. degree in the Section Bioelectronics of the Department of Microelectronics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, and Computer Science, Delft University of Technology. His research interests include low power wireless communication circuits design for biomedical applications.
