Electronic Components, Technology and Materials (ECTM), Department of Microelectronics Themes: Autonomous sensor systems
Biography
Yuyan Liu was born in Xi’an, China. He obtained the B.E. and Ph.D. degree from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China, in 2018 and 2023, respectively. From July 2017 to October 2019, he was an intern as layout and test-chip designer in Semitronix Corporation, Hangzhou, China. From October 2020 to July 2023, he was an intern as analog circuit designer in Vango Technologies, Inc., Hangzhou, China. His research interests include data converters and low-power mixed-signal circuits and systems.
In August 2023, Yuyan joined TU Delft as a postdoc in the Electronics Components Technology and Materials (ECTM) group. His current work focuses on analog signal chains and sensors in GaN and Silicon technology.
Low-power DC-DC converters with smart MPPT
In this project, we will develop a low-power DC-DC converter for PV cells for IoT nodes, featuring a wide dynamic range MPPT algorithm.
