MSc Gupta
Electronic Components, Technology and Materials (ECTM), Department of Microelectronics
Biography
Nikhil completed his bachelor’s degree in electronics and communication from SRM Institute of Science & Technology, India (2019). His Bachelor's thesis was based on Smart IOT based cold storage monitoring system. Nikhil completed his master's degree in electrical engineering at the Delft University of Technology (TUD), Netherlands (2022). He studied at the department of Microelectronics where he enthusiastically joined ECTM group in 2020 to work on his master thesis. Nikhil served as an Intern in Package Research & Development team in Nexperia, Nijmegen under the supervision of Dr. René Poelma for his master's thesis in a joint project between Nexperia and ECTM, TUD. As part of his thesis, Nikhil worked on developing new front-end processes to make large-thin silicon-based power MOSFET dies mechanically robust and was rewarded a grade 9 for his thesis work. With background in Electrical engineering, Semiconductor fabrication, Power MOSFETs, he aims to work in the joint project between Nexperia and TUD to develop the next generation SiC based Power modules.
