After completing the joint degree program of BSc Molecular Science & Technology at Leiden University and TU Delft, Joost continued with the MSc Chemical Engineering at the TU Delft. His MSc thesis focussed on soldering two substrates together using the low melting point of nanoparticles produced by spark discharge. As a PhD student, he studies the new possibilities of spark discharge production and nanoparticles in microelectronics.
