Biography
Maria Camarena Perez received her BSc degre in Biomedical Engineering in 2022 from the Universidad Politècnica de València (UPV). For her BSc thesis, she created and characterised self-assembled monolayers for integrated THz detectors using Si and SiN plasmonic structures. She received her MSc degree in Biomedical Engineering in 2024 from Delft University of Technology (TU Delft), and for her MSc thesis she worked on the microfabrication of transfer-free, corrugated graphene electrodes for neuroelectronic applications and studied graphene growth on molybdenum.
During her PhD, she will be further investigating trasnfer-free graphene-based neural interfaces.
