MSc Ceren Kutucu

PhD student
Electronic Components, Technology and Materials (ECTM), Department of Microelectronics

Themes: Health and Wellbeing

Biography

Ceren completed her Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering at the University of Twente (2022), followed by a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (Microelectronics) at TU Delft (2024). During her studies, she worked as an intern at the cardiology department of Erasmus Medical Center on the topic of development of an ultrasound sensor for heart condition monitoring. After her internship, she completed her Master thesis on the development of a biodegradable optical filter and photodetector for oxygen monitoring of living tissues.

In October 2024, Ceren rejoined TU Delft as a PhD candidate at the ECTM group to work on the development of a biodegradable patch for the mechanical actuation of the heart. Her PhD is a collaboration between the ECTM group and the laboratory of experimental cardiology in the LUMC.
