J Heylen

PhD student
Microwave Sensing, Signals and Systems (MS3), Department of Microelectronics

Expertise: Polarimetric phased arrays

Biography

Jonas obtained his BSc degree in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering from the KU Leuven, Belgium, in 2022. Afterwards, he continued his studies in Electrical Engineering as an MSc student at the Technical University of Denmark, with a focus on wireless engineering. During this time, he did an exchange semester at TU Delft. His master’s thesis on ‘Sensor Fusion Algorithms for distributed MIMO PMCW networks’ was carried out as a cooperation between the Technical University of Denmark and Imec, Belgium, leading to his graduation in July 2024.

In September 2024, he started his industrial PhD on polarimetric phased arrays, as a collaboration between Robin Radar Systems and the MS3 (Microwave Sensing Signals & Systems) group at TU Delft, in the context of the ‘Future Network Services’ project.
