Ever wanted to have a look at a burning galaxy with millions of stars forming, roughly (and probably) 13 billion lightyears ago? This is your chance! Akira Endo is currently running observations in the main hall of building 36 (faculty of EEMCS), using the DESHIMA 2.0 spectrometer on the ASTE telescope in Chile. PhD student Leon Olde Scholtenhuis made a new chip in clean rooms including the Else Kooi Lab, that he wants to bring to the telescope next month.

EEE Awarded Two Open Education Stimulation Fund Grants
