Radar & More: Research Activities Overview

In this talk Francesco Fioranelli will introduce and summarize the main research activities performed at the Microwave Sensing Signals & Systems (MS3) Group, in the area of radar systems/applications and radar signal processing. Specifically, some representative examples and references will be discussed looking at the automotive radar context as well as the short-range usage of radar systems for healthcare-related applications, amongst others. The idea of the talk is not to dive into too specific details of one technique or algorithm, but remain broad to be (hopefully!) accessible to anyone in the Department .

A SiC-carbon nanotube composite for MEMS

Silicon carbide (SiC) is a promising material for MEMS devices, especially for those aiming at harsh environment applications. However, the lack of a proper bulk fabrication process is a factor that impedes the development of SiC MEMS.
