Deafening Silence -- Bioelectronic Innovations in Tinnitus Treatment
Tinnitus, often incorrectly referred to as ‘ringing in the ears’, is a phantom sound sensation generated within the brain, affecting approximately 15% to 20% of the global population. For a significant fraction of these individuals, the incessant noise not only disrupts sleep and mental well-being but also dramatically reduces their quality of life. Despite its prevalence, a definitive cure for tinnitus remains elusive—until now.
In this talk, we will explore the complexities of tinnitus, from its neurological underpinnings to its profound impact on daily life. We will navigate through current treatment methodologies, exposing the myths of electronic quackery while spotlighting the promise of effective bioelectronic medicine, including our own Delft Tinnitus Device.
Join us to delve into the world of bioelectronic solutions and be part of the conversation shaping the future of tinnitus therapy. Whether you're a professor, a student, or simply curious about the intersection of technology and health, this talk promises to be an engaging and informative experience.

When Precision Meets Power
Conventionally, precision analog/mixed signal IC design and high power electronics are two different worlds, with distinct design considerations and mindsets. The analog/mixed ICs focus on transistor-level perfections, while the high power electronics focuses more on the system level and treats various ICs as “black boxes”.
